Fountain Square Music This Weekend
Radio Radio runs 15 bands on and off of their stage this weekend. 9 bands play the Beta Cell Bash to benefit juvenile diabetes research tonight, and the Cash Smash has 6 bands pay tribute to the Man in Black.
The White Rabbit Cabaret hosts She Does is Magic, The Bonesetters and Laura K. Balke tomorrow night.
Indy's Jukebox presents a most metal weekend. Tonight, take in Ritual, Betrayer, Expecting Casualties, and Solar Being. Tomorrow, the mighty Gates of Slumber pummel you into submission.
The Hoosier Dome features Don't Call It A Comeback, Drop The Anchor, Breaking New Lines, and Glorious Rebellion tonight. Tomorrow, watch JT Woodruff of Hawthorne Heights, Mitch Vice of It's All Happening, Cody Almond of Don't Call It A Comeback, Will Sharaya, and Matt Enemy Must Die.
I'll step out a bit and also recommend the Girls Rock Indy fundraiser at Talbott St. tonight, too.

Gah, too busy this week. Trying to keep up with a sub gig, FAWM.org, and two custom-publication books leaves me a little drained. Such is life. Here's what's going on with music in my neighborhood this weekend:
Radio Radio presents the album release for Everything, Now! tonight, with America Owns the Moon, Learner Dancer, and Vacation Club. This show is free, please act accordingly.
White Rabbit Cabaret hosts Cheyenne Marie Mize and Andrew Combs tonight.
Tonight, Indy's Jukebox gets all loud and weird with Dead Man's Grill, Apostle of Solitude, Dead Man's Switch, Pragmatic, and Mr. Clit and the Pink Cigarettes. Tomorrow, you can take in Solumun Grundy. Note the spelling, people.
At the Hoosier Dome, you can see Junior Battles, It's All Happening, and Wringer tonight. Tomorrow, list to Nick Vampire's Birthday Show with Brooklyn Vampire and Mr. Clit and The Pink Cigarettes.

White Rabbit Cabaret hosts Funkyard's X-mas rock show tomorrow night with Modoc, Kansas Bible Company, and Hero Jr.
Indy's Jukebox has Biorhythm, Last Nail In, First Degree Martyr, And Hell Shall Follow, and Cosmic Laughter tonight.
The Hoosier Dome skanks out tonight with ska favorites Pinstripes, Lockstep, and Crosstown Collision. Tomorrow, there's a huge bill featuring Decoder, Us From Outside, In Other Words, Ironsides, A Stylish Horror, We Came From Nowhere, and I Will Define.

Radio Radio manages only one show this weekend - probably because they need the rest of the weekend to recover from the onslaught of Har Mar Superstar and Andy D.
The Hoosier Dome has Swan, Sonic Maelstrom, and Biorhythm tonight. Tomorrow, you can catch Venable’s last show ever. Or so they say. Indianapolis bands never break up, really.
It's Swing Night in Fountain Square tonight with the Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra. And there's always the folks you know . . .

Finally, although it's not technically in the neighborhood and it's not until next week, even, I wanted to mention Laura Balke's CD release show next week at the Earth House. Why? Radio Radio has big doings this weekend - Sebadoh and Mazes drop by tonight, and Creepin' Charley and the Boneyard Orchestra reunite tomorrow for their yearly show. Endiana is also on that bill.
Tonight's Vollrath show was canceled due to venue closure, but starting tomorrow all scheduled shows move to Indy's Jukebox. That lineup includes Brothers Gross, The Mustachios, 9th Circle Symphony, Black Arrow, and Mr. Clit and the Pink Cigarettes. Check with the venue website for potential conflicts, though. Don't know how all of the shows are going to shake out.

Fountain Square Music This Weekend and Still More Cabaret Poe
Radio Radio features Vulgar Boatmen and The Lovemeknots tonight (along with a premiere of the VB doc "Drive Somewhere"). Tomorrow, take in Joshua James and Honey Honey.
I can't count how many bands go through the Vollrath this weekend. Well, I can, but it makes me tired. Tonight, there's Dastard Lee, Eric Blair and the Absolute Nothings, Second Hand Theory, Rooster Well, and Plain As Day. Tomorrow, you can see Festival of The Damned, Threat Level, Biorhythm, Last Nail In, and The Elixirs. Finally, Sunday brings in Creepersin, Takin In, and Protest for Pluto.
The White Rabbit Cabaret features Cymbals Eat Guitars and Hooray For Earth tomorrow.
