New IMN Podcast and More Bass Design Goodness
The new IMN podcast is up - download it at the site or on WFYI HD2, Thursdays at 4pm and 10pm.
There's more bass design goodness from Jim Toggweiler, maker of the blind-friendly bass amp from last week. In this case, he's looking at the instrument itself and trying some different things, especially with the in-body finger-ramp and the routing of the body to make a thumb rest. The only thing I don't like about this model is that there's no way at all to play a slap-and-pop style. Such is life - not all instruments are for all people. Still, it's good to see this kind of thought and research going into the instrument as opposed to cranking out another clone.
