The New IMN Podcast Is Up – Will You Listen On A Zune?
The new IMN podcast is up - download it here or listen at the website or WFYI.
So the new Zune HD will likely include an HD radio, which is an interesting feature. There's some interesting content out there on HD radio, including the offerings on the HD channel the IMN podcast broadcasts on Thursdays at 4pm. It's still not something that would make me switch from the iPhone because:
- It's not a phone.
- At least in the case of WFYI HD2, the programming is streamed live over the 'net.
So it may be a good upgrade for Zune fans - let me know if you have any questions or comments about it when it comes out. I'll wait and see.

What excites me more about the Zune HD is the ability for it to ouput 720p video (I think it’s up to 720). You could then carry around a bunch of HD video to a friends house and watch in a good HD format. HD Radio will be fun to toy aruond with but honestly I’d rather have an AM tuner since FM radio is almost universally unlistenable and when I listen to radio, it’s usually bad sports talk.
I like my Zune and think the navigation is superior to the iPod though just about everything else is a wash. So I’ll probably pick one of these up when it gets released.
