Touchscreens or Special Effects?
Posted in Music Tech on February 10th, 2008 by RyanOne of the better performances on Sunday night’s Grammy awards (minus the cameo by The Time - c’mon, they deserved a bit more than one excerpt from “Jungle Love”) was the Daft Punk/Kanye West collaboration. Geek that I am, I was intrigued by the touchpads seemingly being used to create the music. Not that I should be surprised, I suppose, but it looks like they were miming along to the track and using some (pretty cool) props to stand in for their normal gear. Here’s a look at their typical stage rig - more synth rack than Enterprise-style transporter, but cool nonetheless.
